Please tell everyone your new title and a little bit about your professional background.
Executive Assistant to Dr. Ely. I came from Helping Hands for the Disabled. Worked there for 16.5 years in a variety of positions – Caregiver, Supervisor, HR Administrator, Executive Assistant & Event Coordinator.
What drew you to apply to Green River?
Close to home and heard great things from family who had attended school & worked here at Green River.
On the car ride to work, what do you listen to?
Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne, oldies, country – just about anything!
What was the very first job you ever had?
I worked at Elk Run Stables in North Bend – I worked in exchange for horseback riding lessons.
What about your new position are you most excited about?
Learning from the people around me – there is so much knowledge to share!
What is one thing you’d love to accomplish in your first year at Green River?
I would love to remember everyone’s names & something unique about them. I would also love to learn all of the trails here.
What three accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?
Being a mom; getting back into horseback riding after a terrible fall; & stepping out of my comfort zone to leave my job of 16 years to try something new!
If your coworkers were to give you an office nickname, what would that be?
Candy? I keep a basket of candy bars on my desk to share (and eat!) but my coworkers do the same so it’s just not me!
For Green River’s annual talent show (this doesn’t actually exist), what hidden talent would you showcase for everyone?
