What drew you to apply to Green River?
I began my education at Tacoma Community College, and I appreciated the diverse and welcoming environment of the community college setting. I found the opening at GRC, and was happy to start!
On the car ride to work, what do you listen to?
I listen to NPR.
What was the very first job you ever had?
I gave classical guitar lessons to my neighbor.
What about your new position are you most excited about?
I get to learn about an aspect of business that will truly help me in any position I might have in the future.
What is one thing you’d love to accomplish in your first year at Green River?
I’d like to get to know all of our other employees.
What three accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?
My army career, my education and my son.
If your coworkers were to give you an office nickname, what would that be?
Zack is just fine. “Zachary” brings me back to moments of childhood bad behavior.
For Green River’s annual talent show (this doesn’t actually exist), what hidden talent would you showcase for everyone?
I am a yo-yo master.
