I am the new Junior Web Application Developer on the Web Team. I have a BS in Computer Science and previously worked in Seattle for a small web development company. Go (CWU) Wildcats! I mean…Go Wildcats and Gators!
What drew you to apply to Green River?
The area and the campus itself. The campus is gorgeous and only a jump from home.
On the car ride to work, what do you listen to?
Star 101.5 or my Spotify playlist, which includes bands like Skillet or Thousand Foot Krutch, as well as classical music by the Piano Guys!
What was the very first job you ever had?
My very first job was delivering weekly newspapers and ads as a teenager in Germany.
What about your new position is most exciting for you?
Learning new things! Also, working professionally (previous jobs at colleges were student jobs) in an educational setting.
What is one thing you’d love to accomplish in your first year at Green River?
Be an asset to my team and help people on the campus.
What three accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?
- Getting married to my best friend,
- moving back to the US by myself and establishing myself over here, and
- getting my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
If your coworkers were to give you an office nickname, what would that be? Why?
B-Three or B3. There are two more Brians here in the IT department. I was the last one to arrive. I have also heard Brian M before from a co-worker.
For Green River’s annual talent show (this doesn’t actually exist), what hidden talent would you showcase for everyone?
Do a comedy routine in German.
