Please tell everyone your new title and a little bit about your professional background.
I am the newest member of Student Support Services/Academic Advising. My title is Educational Planner, Academic Standards.
What drew you to apply to Green River?
The position description itself, as well as the beautiful campus.
On the car ride to work, what do you listen to?
What was the very first job you ever had?
My first job was at McDonald’s during high school in Chicago, IL.
What about your new position is most exciting for you?
I am excited to collaborate with new colleagues in creating a safe and student/learner-centered environment for our students.
What is one thing you’d love to accomplish in your first year at Green River?
One of the first things I’d like to accomplish in my first year at Green River is understanding who our students are and where they want to take their lives during and beyond college.
What three accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?
- Living and studying abroad on three separate occasions.
- Speaking a few other languages other than English.
- Empowering students in leading successful lives according to their needs.
If your coworkers were to give you an office nickname, what would that be? Why?
“Favorite Foodie Chef de Cuisine” – I’ve been told I make a mean Persian lamb, kimchi fried rice, and paella. My family and friends say they all eat better because of me, especially our pets.
For Green River’s annual talent show (this doesn’t actually exist), what hidden talent would you showcase for everyone?
West African Dance.
